XoticFelt Bamboo Rayon felt is made from a blend of specialty-rayon (from bamboo) and viscose rayon. It is noticeably softer than other felt products. It also uniquely absorbs dyes for luxuriously rich and vibrant colors.
What is bamboo-rayon? Although the bamboo fibers originate from a natural raw material, the bamboo fibers are actually considered cellulose or specialty rayon due to the manufacturing process used to turn the bamboo grass or stalks into pulp and then into fiber. Standard rayon fibers originate from wood pulp, which is also a natural raw material.
Bamboo rayon fibers are naturally soft and strong and dry cleaning is recommended. If dry cleaning is not possible wash on a delicate cycle with cold water and then dry flat.
